Was nur wenige wissen: Schmidt und Löffelhardt waren vor dem Phantasialand an einem Safaripark in Tüddern an der deutsch-niederländischen Grenze beteiligt, stiegen aber 1969 ein Jahr nach Eröffnung zugunsten des Phantasialands in Brühl wieder aus dem Projekt aus.

 

Die Erinnerungen an Safari, Dschungel und Afrika fand man früher vor allem am Märchensee und der Wikinger Bootsfahrt und heute noch in der Hollywood Tour und Deep in Afrika.
